The prices below are listed for your assurance that you are getting the same low price all our other customers receive when ordering a lapel pin. We understand the myriad of pin-types and different prices can be overwhelming if you're like most people and don't have a lot of experience ordering lapel pins. Don't worry - we'll walk you through the design and pricing process. We list these prices only to go "on record" with our extremely low prices. Other pin companies will not make their prices public and sometimes will charge different prices to different customers for the same pin. Pin Pros is committed to doing business in a fair and ethical manner and would never do that to our customers.

Epola Lapel Pins

(Also called new cloisonné, semi-cloisonné or hard enamel)

Our most popular pin. Epola pins are called Cloisonné pins by many manufacturers. Authentic Cloisonné pins are rarely made anymore and many companies now refer to epola pins as cloisonne. Be careful when comparing prices! (Hint: True cloisonne pins only offer approximately 130 colors. Epola pins offer all Pantone colors (approximately 1,000. If a company says they can match their cloisonne pins to the Pantone Matching System, they are not authentic cloisonne pins.) Epola pins show fine detail better than authentic cloisonne pins.

Old-world craftsmanship. Authentic cloisonné is for jewelry-quality pins. However, authentic cloisonne does not allow the fine details of other types of pins. Authentic cloisonne pins are good for plain colors with little raised metail features. Many pin manufacturers claim their pins are cloisonné but are really epola. Be careful when comparing prices!

Soft Enamel / Die Struck Lapel Pins

Sometimes referred to as Die Cast or Die Struck. Soft enamel pins are less-expensive because we are able to plate before applying enamel paints. Polishing time is also reduced. Therefore, our prices for these pins is lower than Epola. We begin by die striking your design into iron or copper. Then we plate to your specified color. Soft enamel pins will have a slight recess in the paint-fill areas. Soft enamel pins can also be made without paint. These pins are called die-struck.

Photo-dome Lapel Pins

Photo-dome is another alternative when the enamel fill process is not compatible with the pin design. The design in printed on paper and the paper is affixed to a flat piece of metal A protective epoxy dome in put on top the image to protect it. This process has improved greatly over the past few years. Photo-dome pins are no longer cheap looking. Photo-dome requires additional costs for making molds and this additional cost is reflected in our prices below. If your art has color gradients, the only way these can be made into lapel pins is with the photo-dome process.

The Fine Print on our Custom Lapel Pins.

  • The above prices are for a standard pin with four colors. (Some of the above pins do not have colors and this does not apply). Additional colors will be at the rate of $0.05/pin.
  • Shipping is normally via UPS. Other options are available. Please contact us.
  • Artwork is free for our customers.
  • We believe the above prices are accurate but reserve the right to modify our quote if we discover an error.
  • We can add additional posts on the back, blinking lights, moving parts and many more extras. Please contact us with your requests.
  • We make every effort to ship the amount of items ordered. However, because of the manufacturing process of these custom items, a 3% underrun will be considered complete. We bill only for the exact number of pieces received.

 

  • Some popular extras are priced as follows:
  • Custom printing on back of pin @ $40
  • Unique serial number on back of pin @ $0.15/pin
  • Antique plating costs vary depending on size and type of antique finish. Price will be quoted to you.
  • Screen-printing on epola, soft-enamel, die-struck or cloisonne pins @ $20 setup plus $0.05 per pin, per color
  • Two - three weeks is standard delivery time after art is approved. Faster delivery may be available at a rush charge. If you have a specific delivery date needed, please let us know - we can probably meet it. Unusual items with special tooling, attachments, or features can take longer than three weeks.
  • 3-D pins incur a special mold charge. This is usually between $35 - $75. Price will be quoted to you after we review your art.
  • Custom-made products are not returnable.
  • Inner-cuts on a pin (a cut completely surrounded by metal) are additional and are priced according to size and complexity.
  • We want to be a full-service lapel pin company. If you don't see what you need, please contact us. We can probably do it!
