Diecast
Diecasting (as opposed to die stamping or diestruck) is an alternative yet effective process used to create custom metal lapel pins. Diecast pins are very similar in appearance to diestruck pins. The main difference is they are slightly thicker and can have any number of inner cutouts for no extra money. Diecast pins are slightly more expensive than hard enamel pins but really produce a unique custom look that is impressive. Diecast pins can be plated and painted just like soft enamel and hard enamel pins. Most people would not be able to tell the difference between a diecast and diestruck pin. Usually the giveaway is the inner cutouts.
